One tactical strategy I learned was to run to safety instead of standing and engaging the threat. Leaning out and keeping steady enough to get on target takes quite a bit of strength. A lot of people also do a lot of shooting with their favorite range guns but don't pu... 517 days ago00:58 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Muzzle Control and Kneeling I was working on muzzle control and kneeling position for some of this range trip. I was using the double stacked barrels as innocent people in between me and the target and to not muzzle them as I got ready to engage the targets. I was also working on where I positioned myself behind cover and getting in a kneeling position that allowed good ... 600 days ago10:19 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Shooting while moving Shooting while moving with accuracy is very hard. I can shoot one hole at 4 yards with this handgun but had trouble with accuracy on a 12" target at 10 yards while moving. The sights bounce all around which can be hard to time the trigger press. This is why there is the training philosophy of when it's time to move, move and when it... 600 days ago10:07 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Target Transitioning Working on target transitions is important since it's likely your target will be moving or there will be multiple threats in a self-defense encounter. Target tracking with your eyes, getting the sights on target and having the trigger prepped at the right time is important. I missed the reset on the target on the left due to not being as ... 629 days ago23:59 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Inconspicuous draw from seated Having a slow inconspicuous draw is as important as a fast draw. I was simulating seeing a deadly force situation while seated somewhere and engaging the threat when the time was right. Know how and when to stage your draw. 629 days ago23:53 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Springfield Hellcat draw with sweatpants I carry while wearing sweatpants a lot. I use a rib belt cut lengthwise to give more support to the system. 629 days ago23:43 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Importance of support hand My support hand was late getting on the gun which contributed to me throwing the first shot. The support hand allows me to get after it on the trigger but minimize movement of the gun, but I was late getting on and tightening down for the first shot. I was able to fix it on the other shots. 635 days ago17:34 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video 75 yards 12 inch steel with red dot 75 yards on a 12 inch round steel target with the Walther PPQ with the Vortex Venom red dot. It took 1 shot to figure out where my hold should be and then hit on the second. I really like the smallest backstrap on the PPQ since it gives me the best natural point of aim and ability to grip the gun. This was done with a load I developed for lon... 635 days ago17:12 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video 75 yards on 12 inch steel with a handgun 75 yard shot on 12 inch steel pretty much dead center on 3rd attempt with iron sights 635 days ago16:43 GunDayTactical has uploaded a video Bill Drill with the Ruger LCP Shooting this tiny gun quickly is tricky. It's super tiny with basically no sights, long trigger reset, plus it was dim under cover. I had to slow it down a bit in order to track the slide and keep this accurate of a group from this short distance.
